May the world rest better

So Hussein is dead. I guess terrorism will die just as Hussein died up on the ole' gallows. I just watched the video of his hanging. Call it morbid curiousity or me buying into the hype (actually I couldn't care less), but I felt compelled to see it. Anyway, it was a badly shot video likely taken with a cell phone--by the way, I think the Iraqi's could use a better digital video set up for their next foray into state sponsored killing. Funny how the U.S. has more in common with countries like Iraq, Saudi Arabia, China and North Korea concerning the issue of capital punishment....but I digress. The interesting thing about seeing this execution was the fact that Hussein seemed completely resigned to his fate. His face was expressionless (again, from the video it was difficult to discern his facial expressions clearly) and he didn't say anything. Silence. Like the sound of terrorism evaporating from this earth. George should be proud of himself.
